Had some runs this last week with a fellow s2k club member Fowler.
My car pushed 171.3kw and his 173.4kw at the last club s2k dyno day...only mods I know Fowler is running is a Viper exhaust and replacement K&N cone filter in the stock airbox, my mods are in my signature.
So we meet up at a quiet stretch somewhere in the northern suburbs.
1st run: rolling in 1st gear, 3 hoot ... Fowler opens up about a car gap between my F bumper and his R bumper from 2nd to 3rd gear... 4th gear the gap stays constant and we tap for the robot.
2nd run: rolling in 1st gear, 3 hoot ... I miss 3rd gear and Fowler goes, I slack as it's pointless trying to chase him down.
The neighbourhood watch spot us and we move to the highway... from this point I am 1 up with my 85kg cousin riding shotgun.
3rd run: heading towards town we roll in 1st gear, 3 hoot and we go. .. Fowler misses 2nd gear and we slack, 3 hoot again and we off, Fowler misses a gear again and we just race down the highway to get to the off ramp.
4th run: heading away from town we roll in 1st... 3 hoot and we go, I granny shift 2nd to 3rd and Fowler opens 1.5 to 2 cars emediately... his car kicks up stones which start hitting my car and I brake to get out of the firing range.
Last run: I catch up to Fowler and we gear down to first, rolling in 1st 3 hoot and we go. This run was the best of the evening, we were neck & neck until we tapped at the end of 5th gear at clock speed of 227 km/h. Each time Fowler shifted up he creaped forward a few inches so by the time we tapped my front bumper was sitting at his driver side door.
Was great fun... big up to Fowler his car is Strong. Rerun soon as I will be making a few changes to my exhaust and intake in the next few months.
